Welcome to Merseyside IVC

Enhance your social life with the Merseyside Intervarsity Club. If you have moved into the area, change has altered old relationships or you just want something new, then the MIVC offers the opportunity to strike in a fresh direction. Meet us at our local events then go away for short breaks and longer holidays. Our members are friendly, caring and great fun.

What do we do? The answer is, ‘whatever you want’. The members put on the activities. If there is something you want to do, somewhere you wish to go, we help you to host the event of your choice and go with friends. We are linked to other Intervarsity Clubs and our members regularly go on inter-club outings. There are 41 IVCs in the UK, with nearly 4,000 members. Before you go further, take time to explore our coming and past events. You will see that we offer more than many other groups.

MIVC is long established with a core of dedicated members. Meetup provides our presence on the web. We take care over who becomes a full member. Members are expected to be reliable and to honour commitments. Our group is small and not for profit. Membership is £12 per year.

MIVC members tend to have professional qualifications. We are teachers, social workers, police and probation officers, and from the worlds of medicine, government and armed forces.
